How many copies to play on a LAN?

Can two people play on a LAN if there is only one copy of the game available or does each person have to have his own copy?

Yes you can play a LAN game with just one copy of the game. The CD/DVD needs to be in the drive only in order to start the game. After installing and running the game, the DVD can be safely removed.

To answer your question,

1. Technically yes you need 2 copies to play a LAN game (licencing issues)

2. Physically no -- as the game does not check if the cd is in the drive once playing.

Depending on how you feel, 1 may be a problem.
