How much Civ3 do you play?

I had a thought some time ago...

I played the last GOTM (GOTM 35) and finished it in 9 hours. 9 hours in 8 days equals 1 and 1/8 hours/day.. This is not much. In fact it's nothing compared to how many hours some players spend on each map. So since I'm working and going to college I don't really have that much time to play even though I could have been playing alot more if I had the time.

So tell me... How many hours/day do you sit infront of your screen playing Civ3?

Once when I played on Huge map with all civs, the game took 200 hrs.
If I'd only spend that much time studying.....

I play rather a many hours a day/week when I get really hooked, but, then again, I tend to have long breaks in between that kind of bouts. That's why I think it equals the first category...

I fall into many categories, I don't play every day, I generally don't turn it off, and when I do play, I play probably in the 1-3 hours category.

To be honest. I don't play every day but whenever a new GOTM/COTM comes up I simply can't resist playing it and then ofcourse I play Civ 3 much more. Anyway, most of my playing takes place during the weekends when I have more spare time.

I did play another game alot more. But this was a couple of years ago. I played this game ALOT! So much in fact that my clan was in the top 10 here in Sweden. I remember a time when me and my friends would play for at least 15 hours straight. Ofcourse we didn't do this every day but still, 15 hours is way to much. This games popularity was and still is gargantuan and we played it alot when it came out. In South Korea this game is so popular that 2 TVchannels are dedicated to this game.
Now, you may start to wonder if I'm talking about a game or a drug... It's a game and that game is STARCRAFT ofcourse... That was then and now is now but still. It sends shivers down my spine whenever I remember those Starcraftplaying days...A ****ing good game!

I voted for 1-3 hours/day because I think this is the right value on average.
Since I'm playing PBEM I really have to look every day in the mail-box and if a save has come in this one has to be played. As - of course - I'm playing more than one PBEM this means there is half an hour up to one hour of operating the games. Just depends on how many saves went in.
I'm trying to avoid playing a SP within the week, so the session of 5 hours and more are happening at the weekend.

I only play on the weekends usually for 2-8 hours. I wish I could play more but I don't have the time.

I would say I play for about an hour or so on days that I actually play. I may get in about 4 hours worth a week.

I don't play every day, I BINGE play - and sit down for marathon sessions for a few days then don't play again for a month.
