I know something similar to this was in Civ 4 and I swear I stumbled upon something similar to this in Civ 5 but for the life of me I can't find this now in Civ 5. I know I saw options to change the amount of resources and climate of the maps. Could someone please point me in the correct direction to change these options?? Thanks!!

There is a button that says advanced setup, or something like that. You have to go there to do those kinds of things.

You can change the world age(I'm still not sure what that actually does), resource settings, and other things.

Yeah, that is where I thought it was, but I don't see the option there now. Just map type, advanced victory conditions, etc. I don't see anything in on changing items such as sea level. Hmm, this is driving me crazy right now for some reason.

Is there an option for a custom game somewhere. I read about custom game a couple times, but I don't see that option anywhere.

Here are some example screenshots of what they look like.

There is an advanced setup button in one picture, and the other shows what the advanced setup screen looks like on mine.

It has a place to change sea level.

Thanks, hmm for some reason I only have like 5 options. I remember seeing those options a couple games ago. Strange........

Hmmm...strange.

What version of the game do you have?Limited?Standard?

Okay, I figured it out. This is somewhat silly. I pretty much always do Random Map on the main menu. So when I changed to a map time on the main menu it opened up these additional options.

Ok.Glad you figured it out.

Yeah, thanks. Glad you posted the image so I knew it was there somewhere. I usually always do random, so the one time I noticed the extra options it kind of threw me off.

Lol.

Anyway, you're welcome.
