How to change worlds/games ?

Sorry for asking, but when I read a couple posts here or somewhere else they indicate that you can change world/game that you play right now, and even simultaneously. I know that you need to finish one game to get "another slot", and I did, but how to use that?

I mean, my previous game ended, now I'm in a new world, played for couple of minutes, then my friend invited me to his world, so I joined to him (because I've finished one game I think?), but now it seems I cannot get back to my previous world.

I've searched any buttons, CivWiki, help, and such, and found nothing about this. How can I play two or more worlds simultaneously? Is this a dumb question? If it is, then what's the mean of having "another slot" when you finish the game?

In the throne room, along the top there are a few buttons. First is to decorate your room, second is to view your achievement, and the third is to chose which game to load (it'll always load the last one you played). That said, you can only have up to two games going at a time (supposedly you can have a third when one is almost finished, but I have no idea what that means, as even in Late Galactic Era (the last one -- it doesn't get any more "almost finished" than that) I've never seen it unlocked).

Thanks. Kinda obsecure to me since I almost never touch the throne room. Should've been more explicit in CivWiki

I have three games unlocked; unfortunately I'm not too sure what the criterea was.

(And yes, a lot of things could be better explained in the wiki. Get to it ;) )

Who knows... maybe I just screwed my game up. My first game, after a certain point a group of friends in real life had coalesced into a hyper-dominant bully civilization, where nobody else had any remote chance whatsoever, thus sucking all enjoyment out of the game and driving everyone else out. Didn't particularly want to stick around for the remainder of that one (seeing there was still a lot of game left at that point), when I could quit it and have two games going that were both worth playing.

I _believe_ the criteria for unlocking the 3rd game is the 1000 Fame points achievement.
