I like to create desktopshortcut for at least the [religion and revolution]-mod.
But I do not know how to make it, how do I?

and.. today is the start of my forum account, the second:cringe:, my old got lost...

1. Copy the normal shortcut to Colonization and rename it to whatever you like
2. Edit the properties of the new shortcut
3. Add this add the end of the target that is called by the shortcut:
mod="/Religion_and_Revolution"

So for me, the complete target of the shortcut looks like this:
C:\games\Colonization\Colonization.exe mod="/Religion_and_Revolution"

It will look different for you of course, since you probably installed Colonization in another folder.
But I guess, you get the idea. :thumbsup:

Thanks!

Now I have a nice desktopshortcut.
A little bit funny thing is that the game doesn´t realise that I have loaded the mod when I start a savegame and likes my to restart the game, samething that goes really fast to do.. not very surprising that it does but..:crazyeye:

and thanks for a nice mod!
guess religions will make more role in release 2 or later, ain´t that much now.

Try this instead:
mod=\Religion_and_Revolution
and you won't have to restart.

for those who play col2 from steam and have problems with the shortcut method,
there's a workaround (I always get the message: "ignoring mod". In fact, the mod was loaded just one time correct direct after a clean new installation, afterwards i got an error message ervery time)

You can alter the "CivilizationIV.ini" in your private user folder:
e.g: c:/users/"putinyourname"/documents/My Games/civilization iv colonization/CivilizationIV.ini

at section
[CONFIG]
;specify a Mod folder (Mods\Mesopotamia), '0' for none
Mod = Mods\Modname
