How to create rivers in World Builder

Hi,

Hope I'm posting in the right place. I've just started using World Builder and am having some difficulty placing rivers. When I select the Rivers tab the display shows lots of 'mini-hexes' (for want of a better term), but all I seem able to do is toggle a single mini-hex on and off. What am I missing?

Click from one dot to the next. The river will be along the hex edge, between the dots. Continue clicking from the last dot to the next to extend the river.

Switch to a different tab, like edit plot, to see if the river was created.

Make certain the river tab is set to add, not remove, river.

When I click the blue boxes one by one it doesn't show up. Is there a button I'm suppose I have to press on my laptop?

By blue boxes do you mean the blue dots on the corners of the hexagons?

I also find it a little easier to see what I am actually adding to a map if I turn off the hex grid when adding or removing rivers. Since the grid and the placed segments of a river share the same side of a hex, the more-solid and darker map-gridline can often make it hard to see whether or not a river segment has been added along a hex edge.
