So I am planning on playing a standard deity game since i am owning so hard on emperor. What settings civ are most favorable for the win? I am guessing iarchi is best and continents come close second?

On Archipelago you can hardly do anything until you have Map Making. And if you are really along you have to even research it all by yourself. Not sure that makes for a whole lot of fun. Continents sound better.

As for the settings, I have no clue. Maybe you should just get yourself a fairly good start with one or two food bonuses?

not culture/diplomacy. BAsicaly conquest is a must.

pangea 80% for a fast conquest with minimum opponents.

I always do continents
