How to edit starting tech?

You can do it by activating the cheat menu. You then chose edit technologies
(CTRL+SHFT+F6). Chose your civ. If you want a tech chose a tech you don't have (the one with an - behind it) and press on the ok button. If don't want a tech you have (the one with a * behind it) you can uncheck it by pressing the ok button. Press ESC or Cancel to leave the menu.
Problem might be that when looking at your score that it says it's in cheat mode.....you can solve it by saving the game as a scenario and start it as a scenario...
