How to edit UserSettings.ini ?

This file can be opened, and I can change the value. But it won't save, regardless of which editor I'm using. And viewing the File Properties doesn't show anything about permissions, etc.

How can it be changed so that AutoSavesKept = 1200 remains true?

I don't recall having any problems with that, I think Notepad worked for me. Maybe copy that file to another folder, edit and save there, then move it back and overwrite the old one?

You might have to use "Run as administrator" while opening the editor if the file is in a protected folder such as inside Program Files.

After I restarted a few times, the problem disappeared. Probably just one of those random Ballmer bugs
