I conquered a lousy town and want to destroy it i rushed some
engenir(settler) until it was size 1 but now he don't erase the town he wait to get to zize 2 to make the engenier. any other possibility to get rid of that town (city)?

What you must do is: "rushbuild" the engineer when the city is down to size I.
Rushbuilding is in fact buying = you buy all the shields needed to finish building the engineer in one turn. You are then offered the choice to keep the city or keep the engineer. Of course you choose the engineer :)

and be sure to select the disband option when asked

Well, that's the quickest way to reduce a city in size, but you can't disband a city with it. Unless he built it on really lousy terrain giving less than two food (including irrigation bonus), he can only ever starve it down to size 1. After that, he'll need to (rush)build a settler/engineer.

Actually, I do not think (on Chieftain level) it is even possible to starve a city to disband it. Even with a food net loss and nothing left in the granary, the city will miraculously carry on. I have tried this before, and eventually I gave up and decided to exploit it by making it build food caravans to help other cities. :mischief:

Thats right. you cannot disband a city on Chiefton level. Its a safety feature so beginners cannot disband a city by accident.

I tryed running a Chieftain high score game for fun once; I really hate that safety feature.

does not diety give a higher score bonus? :hmm: if so,your effort might be wasted on cheiften....

I always prefer the conquer and let-conquered method. The only detriment to this action is that your opponents will gain some new technology every time they re-conquer your city.
