How to force refresh rate

Hey all,

I tried posting this in the 2k forums, but their member registration has been broken for the last two days I tried.

I'm curious if anyone knows a way to force Civ5 to use a particular refresh rate?

Since the .62 patch whenever I start Civ5 I just get a black screen until my monitor eventually informs me that the game is trying to push a refresh rate of 139Hz to the screen and it doesn't like it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

That has to be a bug somewhere. Normally, the refresh rate would be turned down to 60, but not higher.
You're having an old CRT, not a TFT, right?

First: Update your drivers. Might be completely unrelated, but you never know.
If that doesn't help, set your refresh rate by hand down to 60, and see if something changes.
