There are 13 different types of Great People:
Prophets (GA)
Artists (GA)
Scientists (GA)
Merchants (GA)
Engineers (GA)
Hunters (GA)
Spies (GA)
Doctors (GA)
Detectives (GA)
Generals
Admirals
Statesmen
Farmers

There are 9 types of Great People, that can start golden age - this means it can be started 9 times by them.

Is it possible to make city dedicated to generate Great Prophets in one city, Scientists in other and so on?
Or make cities generate 2/3 types of GP in equal probability.

BTW Great Prophet can't fund CaoDai religion....

Actually, this is not correct. When you start your first golden age, it takes one GP of any time. To start the next GA with GPs, it requires 2 GPs of differing types. When you start the third golden age, it takes 3 great people, each of differing types. And so on with each golden age you start. You could start up to 12. Farmers don't count for this use.

You can try to specialize your cities in particular GP generation by carefully selecting where you put various wonders and what specialists you assign in those cities. This was very possible in Vanilla BtS but there seems to have been a bias against this strategy by the earlier AND/ROM designers so you now have wonders that will give a free prophet but give +2 towards Merchants and so on. And with high population reaching cities with rather limited amounts of specialists by type being assignable, you are forced into blending your GP chances a little more than I'm comfortable with. But I've grown accustomed to not having much control over GP results much anymore.

The Great Military People are much more strategically player determinable. Fight most with the types of units that create the types of GMPs you seek and you'll weight the results to bring those up. It's not 100% controllable because it's impossible to have that much control over what conflicts take place, but it's entirely non-random at least.

Known problem. Apparently DH still doesn't know how to make a religion work under Great Prophets (and I need to remind myself as well. I'm stuck on a large project so I'm not debugging at the moment. I'll get to it when I'm freed up.

1. I knew first GA takes one GP, second one - two different GP and so on.
Gread Generals, Admirals, Statesmen and Farmers (why they are under Progidy class in civilopedia then?) themselves doesn't have triggers to start GA, thats why I assumed GA could be triggered 9 times with GP (last trigger taking 9 GP).
So can we add GA trigger to Generals, Admirals and Statesmen?
This way we could trigger GA using them directly without waiting for second or later GA triggered by GP.

2. So basically GP generation wasn't balanced for this mod yet I guess.
Can at least automatically assign specialis to each type until max amount is reached?
That is auto-assigning in balanced manner until you run out of space for them. Or is it here already?

1) Generals, Admirals and Hunters are Great Military People. I'm not sure they should be added to the list of those that can help to generate a GA but it's worthy of consideration. Statesmen probably should be enabled to if they aren't already. That's a DH unit... I'll have to fix that when freed up.

2) I suppose you could say that. I think there's a way to tell the city to emphasise a particular GP but I'm not sure if its working properly. DH was working on that stuff.

1. When I checked civilopedia on "Progidy" units category, Great Hunter could start GA without help, and Great Statesman can't do that by himself.

I did test: Placed 12 units of each GP (total 12 types)
You can start Golden Age only 9 times.
Following GP weren't used at all: Statesman, Admiral and General.
These units doesn't have action to start Golden Age.
So looks like these 3 types of Great People need "start Golden Age" action after all to be used.

I always wondered why Great Generals could not start a golden age as some did historically.

I let Great Hunters do so since C2C extends the time frame.

I must have missed the Great Statesman but that was all a work in progress when I left.

Seems all three should be able to but did Raxo just explain that the Great Hunter can do so on his own and not though the normal GP method?

I'm not sure what the tags are for setting these up but I'll have to review it at some point I guess.

I added <bGoldenAge>1</bGoldenAge> tags to great admiral/general/statesman as experiment.
Lets see if It makes possible to trigger golden age 12 times like it was designed.

Edit: that works! Now its possible to start golden age 12 times with great people.

So if great person is meant to be used for golden age, it needs to be able to start it by itself.

I figured it was that simple. Ill try to remember to do that for the core.
