How To Get in A MP or PBEM game if you r a newbie

Growth in the cities and our railroad project progressing nicely. The Aztec leadership is pleased. :king:

His Imperial Majesty is also pleased to have perhaps the biggest and more comprehensive railroad system in the world. ;)

Urgently conducting trade agreements. :deal:

The Iroquois laugh at the Shogun's outrageous railroad statement.
The old trade agreement has been satisfied on our end and war has been declared on Japan. It will be hard to keep railing without iron (an arrogant statement if there has been a miscalculation). The people wonder if this a stupid move, but it has relieved their boredom and they now crank out their shields for the military challenge.

The surprise attack went roughly according to plan, but it has stalled out and Chief Wind won't be surprised if the Iroquois lose much of what they gained.

France and Sumeria have been asked to participate and they agreed. The Aztecs have been offered Communism for their alliance against Japan.

The Aztecs had to reject the Iroquois offer as we could not bring ourselves to attack our neighbors and friends, the Japanese. We have sent an Aztec Cavalry to the war front to observe the situation.

Treachery!

The Shogun was in complete and utter disbelief as his officials told him of the news from the front. He hurled ornamental helments and samurai swords all around the palace in rage.

On the front, the damage done by the Iroqouis was severe. Many, many units of the Shoguns best units of cavalry and samurai were wiped out completely after being taken by surprise. However there was a fight back.

The Japanese cavalry bravely charged positions around Uruk, and two entire stacks of invaders were wiped clean off the map. No mercy was shown and the dismembered body parts have turned the nearby water sources red with Iroqouis blood. Dismembered heads have had their tongues ripped out, and been placed on spikes or used as footballs by little Japanese children.

The brave (but perhaps futile) actions of the Imperial Japanese Cavalry have been too numerous to mention, but another action that deserves particular mention is the rescuing of Japanese workers near Toyama. These workers, destined for certain death, can now retire to their homes where they can await the coming death in peaceful surroundings.

Sibushur was also liberated. The soldiers of the Shogun were speechless as they entered the city and saw the devestation that was inflicted first hand by the Iroqouis animals.

The Japanese do waht they can for the sake of the world, and to prevent a descent of civilisation into something nothing better than the stone age.

The Shogun has returned to his Palace to make emergency plans for his families safety.

GPS Good turnstorypost Quarky.
The Uruk garrison fought well and it took Iroquois units earmarked for leave/healing to make it finally succumb. Now the southern penisulas are connected (for the time being). A great Japanese military leader emerged from the battle for Uruk and apparently guided the troops wisely, but unfortunately he did not escape.

In 580AD the navy landed cav stacks in the northwest and northeast (see thumbnail) corners of Japan (apparently undetected???) and during 590AD those stacks tried to inflict as much damage as possible with considerable success.

No, those two SOD's (one on each side) were detected, but I wasn't in much of a position to do anything about it!

With the fighting now spreading to our border areas the Aztecs have come to the aid of our Japanese neighbours. A state of war now exists between the Aztecs and the Iroquois. Aztec units attacked the Iroquois invasion force in the NW near our border. Aztec canons bombarded the Iroquois cavalry then our Medieval Infantry attacked. We wounded the Iroquois cavalry and forced them to retreat, losing one Medieval Infantry in the attacks. We then unleashed the Aztec Cavalry to run down the retreating Iroquois Cavalry. Seven Iroquois Cavalry were left dead on the battlefield with no loses to our Cavalry. We also liberated the Japanese city of New Osaka from the Iroquois aggressors.
Due to a Mutual Protection Pact with the Iroquois, the French and the Summerians declared war on us.

Extensive rearguard action on the city of Uruk resulting in the loss of several Japanese units. However, they died with honour. Other units fall back, ready to mount a (sure to be ill-fated) counter attack.

Following that, the nation descends into anarchy. The government has been overthrown and the Shogun is in hiding, his Palace has been looted, and portions are now a smoldering wreck. Many civilians have been killed in riots across the Empire as questions begin to be asked about the man-god Shogun.

Several different factions are emerging to attempt to put together a new form of government as the country reels from invasion, and from the staggering losses taken so far.

Mounted minor counter attack and retook New Osaka.
Sunk various vessels of the Aztec and Japanese navies.
Consolidated hold on southern penisulas (capturing remaining Japan units in the surrounded former Ninevah cities).

In skirmishes around and in New Osaka, Aztec forces eliminate 3 Iroquois Cavalry and liberate the city for the second time. No Aztec loses.

Japanese cavalry conduct daring raids and wipe out several units of Iroqouis cavalry as well as liberating New Kyoto from the invaders.

The struggle to form a government continues.

The wearabouts of the Shogun contine to be unknown.
