I have played 4 full Games from the beginning. (Without counting the 20-30 maps i reloaded, because i did not like the start). I always play with Quin. For some really odd reason i always have Ghandi as a civ. ALWAYS. I tired agressive Ai (I got 6 of them ) and guess who else GHANDI. Can anybody explain this strange phenomenon ?

Hmm, this gives me an idea that might go better in "Mods and Customization." Would it be possible to mod the game so as to make sure that a random civilization is "Not Ghandi" or something like that?

Let's say I want to play a game as the Chinese, but I don't want to have either the Incans or Aztecs in the game, and I want the others to be randomly selected. Could I somehow mod it so I could select "Not Montezuma" and what-not?

This can be accomplished without MOD'ing the game. Build a Gob of warriors and go explain to Ghandi that his presence is no longer required on this map.

Agreed CC. Also, last game my adversary was Asoka, the second nation ground to earth beneath the heels of legions and hooves of cavalry.

If you have a problem with someone, the answer is a show of force.

Removing Ghandi si SO easy (for some reason he always have the most ******** army in the game.) But the purpose is to have a balanced game. I woul dprefer having Ghenghis Khan or Aztecs instead.

In Civ III, there was a setting for "culturally related civs" that you could turn on and off, so that Persia wound up near Babylon, England was near Germany, and so on. I haven't seen this option anywhere in Civ IV, but I was wondering if the game was still set up this way. Sounds like it still is. I haven't played with custom games at all... is it possible to set up a map and specify which opponents you will face?

You can specifiy the number and identity of the civs in a custom game, or leave it random.
