How to open SAV files?

Title speaks for its self, how do I open SAV files?

Ctrl+l for load

I mean like, when someone here on the forum post's a SAV for other people to look at it, how do you open them because I cant open it it says i need to download some file thing.

You double click the save and download it to your machine. Move it to the save folder for civ and bring up civ and use the load function. If the save was zip, unzip it.

You could also load the save with things like Seedbeast or CAII among others.

In the conquests.ini* file there is a setting which allows you to use the Windows file boxes instead of the built-in Civilization file boxes. They make things much clearer and easier.
