When you press the "Print Screen" key, 2 screenshots are generated. One is in TGA format and is automatically saved to the "ScreenShots" folder of your Civ5 documents folder and the second is saved to the clipboard (and often shows up black when you paste it depending on your system.) I'm guessing your problem is with the clipboard ones so check the screenshots folder for the others; you will need to convert them to another format to upload to the web but many free programs (e.g. Gimp) can read that format.
