Right now i have:
AMD Athlon XP 1.7+
256MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX 400 (64mb)
MB with AGP x4

The demo works at 10-15 FPS on medium
I've got no waves on water nor Gandhi glass reflections
But still the game looks nice

Since my cousin buys a new GFX card, he sells me a Radeon 9500 (dont know what is it, but AFAIR it had "excalibur" written on the box) for a VERRy low price

Will Civ work better? Will i get waves and glass reflexes? (AFAIK it has Pix shader 2.0 and vertex shader 2.0)
Does the 9500 create any problems with Civ?

Right... tell me where to get SDRAMs :P

DOn't laugh, as i know SOltek 75KAV has SDRAM, not DDR :P

You need a Better card and new 512 or 1024 mb ram. I have:

2.6 Ghz
768 Mb Ram
Geforce 4 MX 440

with all stats maxed out on large maps with 8 civs.

I had the same processor as you until I upgraded and I have a Radeon 9550 with 128 VRAM. I couldn't play on Large maps with the graphics set to low even with 1 gig of RAM. I now have an AMD 3500+ and 1.5 gig RAM, but I still have some issues on Huge because of my graphic card. Basically, you need a whole new computer if you really want to run the game well.
