How would you rate Civ VI + expansions to VP at this point?

.

The "card" based system of policies in VI I enjoy, it feels like a good mix between IV and V's system. Ultimately I do think there are too many cards that each do too little...I would have either liked smaller but stronger cards...or simply more slots to put them in. I always found that there were my "obvious" favorites, and then everything else was just wasted space.

Ultimately, I think this sums up almost every system in Civ6....everything is too incremental and muted. Techs, the 'Social techs', promotions, Policy Cards etc etc...tons and tons of things but they all provide small incremental bonuses which are just not interesting. There is nothing to keep you going that 'One More Turn' to get to! You get a new tech....meh, no big impact. You can change government cards...meh, no big impact. You build a Wonder! meh, no big impact. You do anything in the game...meh, no big impact.

Couple that with the weak AI and the dragging slowness of both production and movement and I lose interest about the early Industrial era every time I've tried. Add the cartoony graphics and it's just a much weaker experience than V or IV.

I figured out that I don't like to play Firaxis original game until there is a complete overhaul modepack. I kept playing Civ IV with rise of a mankind a new dawn modepack instead of V until VP occurs. I feel like the original game is one dimensional and it is enough to play same way for all the saves.

I didn't intend to get VI until this summer as epic games offered it free and also gave a discount coupon to buy DLLs. To be fair I did not played it enough to make a complete comparison. As mentioned above I liked the idea of district but as @BiteInTheMark mentioned all these a spared tile necessity is too much. And I agree @Uncle_Joe there are too many wonders can be build but I haven't seen one that it made me feel "I definitely want this wonder"

Euraka and suzerain things are great but there are already submods for VP that makes same effect.

I definitely didn't like cards thing. It made me remember Civ IV policy tree. However what I like in VP is the snowball effect of the accumulation of the policies.

To be fair, when I first played VP, I even didn't met my future wife. Now I will be a father soon. I have less spare time for myself and not sure if I wanna spend that necessary time to understand and digest the Civ VI mechanics.
