how do I put a downloaded map into my game?

Not 100% sure, but put the map scenario into your Civ3 scenario folder. When you start up Civ3, click load scenario and the bic file should be there. Loading saved game from a scenario is the usual process though.

PS-Get the Singer map, it's a nice one. I think it even sets itself up.
