HP Bonus under Units in the Editor.

I have been wanting to mess around with the HP bonus in the editor but I am unsure if I am going to make the game play too easy or too hard with what I pick. It sounds like you can give your tanks a hp bonus and then maybe lower the HP of infantry. But I am unsure how I want to change this and if you have changed the HP Bonus of any units, can you post some input so I can get a better idea on how to use this. I want to make the tanks better in the game cause it seems like infantry beats them up too much, but should I give the infantry a minus -1 or the tanks a +1 bonus, or both? Any suggestions would be great. Also in case this helps, I haven't adjusted the tanks over the 16 attack and 8 defense.
 
I'd add maybe 1 or 2 to tanks. Do not lower the HP total of infantry though.
 
what seems to work fine is doubling HPs (Consript = 4, regular = 6 ceteran = 8 elite = 10) over all, then adding 1 HP per advance. Thus Spearmen keep normal HP, Pikemen get +1, Musketmen +2, Riflemen +3, Infantry +4. The equivalent attackers are Horseman +0, Knight +1, Cavlary +2, Tank +3, Modern Armour +4.... Work fine for me.

I also gave elites 11 Hp to add a little extra punch.
 
This HP thing is killer, know everyone that complains about a spearman killer a tank (including me) can change the HP bonuses around to make this more realistic. This should make the game more interesting. Lt. Killer, it sounds like you got it setup pretty good and I bet your battles last a long time now since you have doubled the HP Bonunes. Later, Shramj
 
I do something similar to killer w/ base hp and expereiance hp. My numbers are higher all around tho. I don't remember much except a conscript get 0 extra hp(makes conscript warriors have 1hp, makes barbarian have no bite at all, only down side) and I increase by 3 i think... and an elite infantry has 21hp total... and UUs get 2 extra HP. When you get into tank battle, or even worse, tank army battles, it starts to take forever.

The worst part of having HP for units is the long process of assging the HP to every unit and trying to make it as balanced as possible. I just wrote it out on paper and entered the numbers.

My problem was naval combat b/c even w/ the HP changes, I'd have Caravels beat Destroyers. I'd also recomend completely redoing sea units ADM, but that's another thread.
