Sorry mods. In the site-forum it won;t get the attention it deserved.

This site is so civ related. I thought: post it in GD

It's fine with me. There have been other "using civ as a learning tool" type threads in here. It's good resource info for discussing future civ games.

I know we aren't kids but this site got lots of comprehensive articles about economics, social and politics. They also talk about world wonders.
It is great

example: do a search for trade on the site.

actually this could be a great scenario tool. Thanks for passing it along.

From a link to another site

Nomadic Aryans invaded India ca. 1500 BC destroying the Indus valley civilization and exterminating the Indus inhabitants. Thus ended the most brilliant civilization of the ancient world.

Poor "Indians".
My civ NEVER gets destroyed by barbarians :) I'll take care for that.

seems they editorialize. We don't lnow enough about the Indus Valley civilization enough to call them the most brilliant.

Secondly, the Aryans came later, as that civilization had already been declining for centuries. I hope most their information is more accurate than that.

It appears they 're only in it for the money, they have advertisements which are of little interest to us online archeologists. Some links and images are broken. Their page martinlutherkingday.htm sais "Native Americans (Indians)" in the title bar. Can we also blame a linked site for that (which is no excuse btw)?
Really, I think this site is getter much more attention than it deserves and the thread should be moved to the proper forum. There are *many* more and better sites dealing with ancient civilizations. One of best is
http://eawc.evansville.edu/
imho.

That is an interesting site but the social studies site also covers things like trade, economics, etc. + World Wonders
