huge amounts of lag and glitchyness

hi, I'm experiencing a lot of glitchyness and stuttering in my game. when I start the game it's fine but the more I play and more the map is revealed it starts to stutter and glitch more and more until game becomes unplayable and crashes. even if I play with lower settings it just starts happening later in the game and going into world builder makes the even worse.



when it crashes my screen gets all weird and messed up



So can anyone help me please.
oh and I'm playing BTS 3.19 and I just updated my drivers.

It is definitely graphics related.
It's caused when there are too many polygons on screen and the vertices start joining randomly with each other. Or something like that.

Try rolling back to your older graphics driver, you may also want to check your memory (system and graphics) for corruption.

Thanks, but whenever I try to roll back my drivers I get a message about needing a file from the NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP driver library installation disc 1, which I don't have and it all sounds like gibberish to me.

Also, I know it's going to sound like a stupid question but how exactly do you check your memory for corruption. Computers tend to confuse me a lot.

Normally run something like http://www.memtest.org/. However, my computer just started doing this as well. I doubt it's the memory since I know mine is fine.

I can't help with the driver rollback since I've never bothered to do it before.

I did just install a bunch of updates for windows so I'm going to roll some back and see if one of them is the culprit.

I think you need to add a little more RAM to your system, sweetie. 990 MB just isn't enough to run Civ very well, even for XP.
