I cannot get BTS to install under Windows 7 64 Bit

I Keep getting this message

"Sid Meier's Civilization 4 is not installed properly. Please re-install and then retry the Sid Meier's Civilization 4: Beyond The Sword instillation."

I get this message early on. I get the initial screen asking "Install, Read me or Exit" I select install. Then windows asks me to confirm that I want to run it. I then get asked to select the language. Once I've done that it runs the installshield wizard and that crashes with the error mentioned above.

Looking through these forums I've followed the tips about down loading the drivers for my graphics card and for using win XP compatibility mode but they have not helped.

This is a fresh install of Windows 7. I have only loaded MS office, ACDsee, Opera and Chrome but the best won't install

Are you trying to install by allowing the CD/DVD to autorun and then choosing install?

If so, rather than letting auto run browse to the cd and find setup then run that file as administrator (right click, run as administrator). You will also have to install any patches as administrator.

The same problem here
Got my new PC and just wanted to celebrate it with a nice CIV BtS sessin but before the installshield wizard finishes, the error message appears.

If I double-click on the DIAG.exe the message "Safedisc SRV Tool APP" is not working.

Someone who experienced the same problem and found a solution???

Aahh!!!

I tried to install from the BtS CD but forgot to install the basic version

Ok I tried Zequera's idea of installing the basic version of the game and the running the BTS install and everything worked.

I had run the files as administrator but that hadn't helped
