I cant connect to Internet games

Hi,

I want to try playing some games online with you all but I cant connect. I try to create a new account but when I click to create, it says "Cannot connect to server" or something like that....

I reset my connection, restart my comp, have 1.52, I cant think of anything that could be wrong here?

I saw the Troubleshooting sticky.... Civ4 is in my exceptions list and so is port 2056 for UDP.

Please put your network connection,any routers, firewalls, etc.

ok well i have a firewall but i went and made exceptions and opened a port as said in the troubleshooting thread. I also have a router that is connected to a cable modem of course. My connection is broadband.

did you put a forwarding rule on the router to send udp 2056 traffic to your computer? strictly speaking, this isn't always necessary, depending on what you're doing and what kind of router you have, but it's worth a try.
