I don't understand?

Why is the A.I constantly attacking me even thou I have got a very very powerful military.

I'm trying to build the spaceship and the A.I wont leave me alone. I mean there are other civilization out there that don't have a good military..."hay look Japan is still in the middle ages why not attack them" but No...The computer loves to attack me.

Does anybody have this kind of problem?

I'm taking a very wild guess here, but could it be because you are building the spaceship and about to win the game, which the AI somehow doesn't want you to?

They're just trying to take your capital so that you can't win via a space victory.

AI players seem to declare war on you for little or no reason, even if you have a big military. I have three solutions.

1. Teach them a lesson. I assume that they are technologically backward, so they probably don't have very strong units. Use a strong military to destroy a few of their cities, then see if you can get anything out of them (gold, cities, etc) in exchange for peace.

2. Bring in your allies. Get them to sign a military alliance against whoever is bugging you, then try to get peace between you and whoever declared war on you (just don't let them gang up on you!)

3. Keep everyone happy. Even if you don't take one of the first two (or both), this has saved me from some dangerous wars, so I'd try it. An occasional gift is good. The logic behind this is simple: at higher difficulty levels (which I assume you're playing) the AI opponents are rarely happy with you, and furious AI opponents could be potentially dangerous, so keep them happy.

Also, make sure that there is nothing tempting for them to attack. An unprotected city or unguarded Transports full of units are tempting to destroy.

Yep, CT is right. The AI also gets really antsy when you're getting close to 100k culture. (I don't know if it's coded, but it sure seems that way at least).

If you've annoyed them sufficiently, they'll attack you no matter what. If not, they're probably out to stop your SS.

Have to say, ifi keep a low profile, te other civs tend to leave me alone, sve the odd outlandish demand by the zulus for gold and world map.

The AIs will always want to go to war with you no matter how nice you behave even a*********. They just don`t like you. In my last game, I had the same problem like you. I was building spaceship when Egypt sneak attacked me. I was nice to her every for the whole game. I wonder how fool they are, trying to attack my metropolis with just cavalry and infantry. It just didn`t work. They didn`t learn how powerful MI fortified in a metro.

In IA, Greece attacked my empire with 3 horsemen. Oops! A dreaded army. I won by culture before finishing the spaceship.

Maybe, sometimes they just want get free techs by buying with gpt and the declare war. I`ve experienced this. Or maybe it just a coincidence.
