I recently stumbled upon this program called I-doser and was just wondering if the science behind it is legit.

Basically it says that it manipulates your brainwaves to give you the effects of different experiences.

I've seen some scientists who back it up but it almost seems too good to be true.

It is more of a experiement in the effect of suggestion on the mind.

I tried it, didn't work at all.

Tried it... basically, it only works as well as you let it work. You *DO* need stereo headphones to listen to it with, since it has to enter different sounds into each ear. Won't work otherwise.

And, it's okay. Not nearly as powerful as the real thing, but it emulates some drugs pretty decently.... I let myself fall into it, and after an hour started tripping some.

Could somebody please provide a little more information about this? :)

it's a program where you buy* "doses" of sound and listen to them completely relaxed and it apperently simulates the effects of drugs and other things.

*if you dont know where to get them.

Sounds interesting. I listen to a program called Holosync which is meant to trigger certain brainwave patterns to help one relax (Alpha and Theta mostly though their sleep CD also is suppose to trigger some Delta IIRC).

This thread reminds me of a couple interesting sites related to sound.
