You have used the Americaised version of the word colour (in American color) in the title! Shame on you!
And and about the whole German thing, Britain has some interesting links with Germany, so it is not all out of place.
To quote Blackadder:
Darling: I'm as British as Queen Victoria!
Blackadder: So your father's German, you're half German and you married a German?
Ah, well you see.. the moderator moved this thread and changed the title
Nice quote
RG, well it could be viewed as historical-British or pro-monarchy.
The King's Colours, as depicted, is the (historical) flag of Great Britain and not the UK. It always represented the monarch.
Great Britain no longer exists as a political unit, and the UK has a similar but suitably differenced flag showing lineage only. Today, the King's Colours are reserved for the monarch.
The other symbol comes from the army, I think, but I'm not sure.
I would interpret the avatar as showing intent to defend the monarch which fits my common stance but in any case, it's not a great representation of me. Did I over-analyse it?
Guess I'll keep looking...
