Is there any mods around here for Conquests, say the American Civil War or anything else like that?

They are pretty mcuh the same. You d/l the mod and unzip it into the Scenario folder. Move the BIQ from the new mod sub folder and move the biq to the parent (Scenario folder).

The trick is to find any know broken entries and get them fixed. All of them have some afaik. They are usually mentioned in the thread, but they are often very large andit is a pain to locate them.

The more recent ones are the easiest to find the missingentries or typos. CCM is one and it has several SG's that have run into and corrected stuff.

I recently begun after cIV to play in C3 and find it much better. The only thing that I find more interesting in cIV is that there the gold as a terrain resource is separated from food and "hammers" (shields) which gives player more decision options. I wonder is there any mod for C3C in which like in cIV there are three main terrain resources instead of two?

Welcome to CFC, nbd! There are actually 3 main terrain resources in C3C, too: food, shields, and gold. Not every tile produces all three, though. for example, an unimproved grassland tile, if not on a river, produces 2 food. Add a road and it will produce 2 food and 1 gold. If you then add a mine, it will produce 2 food, 1 gold, and 1 shield. (Or have I totally misunderstood your question?)

Aabraxan, I meant that in cIV for obtaining gold from the terrain there is a "dedicated" terrain improvement - cottage, which precludes irrigating that tile or building a mine on it. So, in cIV player generally has to choose between three types of terrain improvement - food-, hammers- or gold-oriented, whereas in C3 - there is no tile improvement exclusively for gold. The road increases the gold output from a tile, but it does not come at a cost of decreasing the food or shields output.
