i need help running the demo if civ 4

Hi dudes.
i'm new to the civ game, but i have read about it and it sounds cool.
i have played AOE for ages now so i sorta gotten into RTSes alot.
i downloaded the demo just before, and in the game the maps black and the leaders have eyes.
is there anyway to fix this?
heres my hardware (i'm on a laptop)

Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processor 1.40GHz

Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)

any ideas and will the full game work?

Not sure if the graphics card is powerfull enough, but you don't have enough memory.

so would it run with that grafics card?
i am not the most technical person,so when you say memory do you mean the free disk space?
should i deleted stuff to make room and how much room is needed?

Your laptop will likely not play this game well.

The most limiting aspect might be the graphics adapter. In a laptop, those are typically not upgradable. Hardware TnL is a minimum requirement per Firaxis and the Intel(R) 82852/55 Graphics Controller doesn't support that per Intel's site.

I wish had more upbeat opinions on it Carnosaur.

I liked Civ3. There are still active boards for it here.
It would probably play just fine on your laptop.

i just got the demo and i enjoyed it, but i was very confused.
the tutroil didn't say much after the first couple of turns, so i played a normal game. it was fun but i didn't know what was doing and my town got crowded and the aztecs fought me.any ideas where a newbie guide is?
i will get this game.
