i need help with dial-up networking

I just got civII and I do not know how to use dial-up networking. In the manual it dosn't go into any detail on how to set it up, only what to do after you have set it up. If there is anyone kind enouph to help me out I would be greatful. I am trying to set up a one on one game with a friend across town.

I am assuming your friend does not have internet access? You could do a search of the Technical Support Forum. There is a wealth of information there.
