I need help with multiplayer!!!

Please tell me how Multiplayer email games work because after I got PTW I was dying to play multiplayer with my cousins. Also does anyone know any other hosts for multiplayer other than Gamespy Arcade ($20!!!!!!)

Well, you can always play PBEM or hotseat, you don't need a server for that. The setup for these kind of games isn't really different than single player.
As far as I know the other multiplayer modes still don't really work.

I would LOVE to play a PBEM game with one of my friends, but as soon as I tried to, it told me I needed to download something, which I was unsure about as I had all the latest patches and the file was too big for my machine (not so much my machine, as my internet connection, rather dodgy)

That is really strange. We're talking about registered ptw right? Not a trial version (well, you're saying that you think you've downloaded all of it, so I suppose you're right...)

Start a multiplayer game, set game type to pbem, configure the map and the players, that should be all. Check out the pbem forum, there's probably been someone with the same problem before you

no, its the full version, I'm running the British version of PTW though, could that have something to do with it?
