After going through some of the technical support pages here I have realized several people are having similar problems as me. When I play Civ4, turns take VERY long, and when I load a previous game, it takes up to 30 minutes for it to load! Also, from time to time (usually when I played the game for over an hour) the screen will go completely black and a white box will move back and forth saying "Could not connect to 3DX" (not the exact wording, I'll post the exact wording if it happens again). Then, when I click on the screen, it brought me back to the desktop. From then on, my computer would just stall. I could go to the Windows Task Manager (control, alt, delete) and end Civ4 (it wasn't responding) but the computer would not do anything and I would have to restart it manually. After restarting the computer, a box would say "virtual memory too low-windows is expanding virtual memory." At first I just thought my computer's memory couldn't handle the large maps, so I went to a small sized map. The game was going by ok (still very laggy) but then it did the same thing again! After that I came here and saw that many people are having problems, so it might not be my computer. I need help. I have a Pentium 4 CeleronR CPU 2.40GHz, 256MB RAM, and a Radeon 9600. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

OK
