I need some advice from the Diety veterans

Be very careful with AI's getting Military alliances and MPP's! On deity the AI has lots of money to bribe others into a war. Before you know it you may be fighting against the world. Try to get a MA yourself.

Me and Persia have an MPP so I'm feeling pretty safe even though I'm at war with the Ottomans and the Zulu's right now, there are four of us on this continent, Arabia (me), Zulu, Ottomans, and Persia.

Persia is by far the biggest and baddest right now.

hmm.. im not a diety player (havent ever tried it), but i think that u should focus on hurting Persia in any way u can, as they are aggressive and are a threat to you. The ai doesnt like people who block their expansion. Try building up cavalry and prepare some MPPs and get a good sum of gold for bribing. Then do whatever u can to get Persia to declare war on u. I dont think its wise to go making war with civs that you can only take 1 weak city from, as it will earn you nothing but enemies.

Taking a single city from an AI which is on another continent can be useful, because the supply routes of the enemy are long, and a peace treaty should be possible early enough.

He is already at war with two of his three neighbours. This may be one enemy more
than he wants. I think, this stage of the game is critical: building up his economy and waiting for rails and artillery may have been better.
Personally, i try to avoid having MPPs, they only cause troubles.

I would not get into a war with Persia. It's not easy for other AI's to reach them and they appear to be pretty powerful. You must be prepared for a sneak attack, even with a MPP with Persia. This is ONLY an agreement to help each other when the other is attacked. They are still allowed to attack you.

Aggies right, Persia has MA and Tanks and I'm still building Calvary and Riflemen. I've had an MPP with Persia for about 300 years now and it seems I picked a good partner as my and Xerxes have been kicking some serious a$$.

We totally eliminated the Ottomans and we are now eliminating the Zulu, although the Zulu are farther advanced than me I havne't seen anything but Riflemen and Calvary from him as Shaka has no oil or rubber, I'm getting the feeling I may even win this game, pretty good for the first real try at Deity if I say so myself

i must have missed the part of Persia having tanks and MA. Wow. Yore far behind. THats what i would do if i was you. But i still think that Persia is a threat and a backstabber. Once the other civs are gone he might be more willing to desclare war on you. Try to get rid of all your MPPs, as they will simply draw you into an unwanted war.

Yeah that's what I'm planning on doing Earendil, Me and Persia have almost eliminated Zulu right now and next turn I'm going to ask for peace with Zulu throwing in a couple of techs (I know he'll do that with some gold from me) my next step is going to be to protect myself from Persia, I still have an MPP with him so after Zulu is gone I"m going to get my workers going making a double square deep of fortress's (Maginot line if you will) along our common border. I've used this tactic before and it seems when the AI breaches the line they dno't seem to bust through and raise havoc, what they do is continue to attack my units fortifying the line (stupid AI) this should give me enough of an advantage to take him on with my Arty and infantry since I'm on the verge of replaceable parts.

You are right about Persia though, they are backstabbers and that's why I made the MPP with them many, many years ago. I have turned space race off and I don't think I"ll get a Cultural victory. I may be able to pull off a Diplo victory since my Rep is still spotless, but I think the most feasable would be Domination victory
