I'd like to join a (large) project

I have alot of time and nothing to do with it. Since all the large mods I want to make seems to be made by someone else already and I'm horrible at finishing my own projects I'd like to try joining an existing one. Plus I don't know how long I'll have this much time.

I can't do graphics. Or sound. But that's about it... if something else needs to be done and I can't do it I'll learn to if possible.

I prefer either fantasy or adding to the original game (units, techs, extended time period - anything or everything) but they are not requirements. I don't really like making scenarios or such but if it's interesting enough I'll consider it.

Anyone want my help?

Yes, it's an auction. I'm the one selling and the thing being sold, so I get to pick who is the highest bidder :p

I asked what kind of help is needed for Heart of Destiny 2 and got the answer of graphics, graphics and... graphics? :(

I'll have a large project sometime in the near future, but I'm going to document what I want extensively first, as I've got a period of time that I'll be inactive for (however, knowing me, it might shorten). However, you and I might collide, as your skills overlap mine (except that I can actually DO graphics). So, someone else might be leading my project (it's a fact that I'll probably have to live with if I want it done) and I might end up JOINING my own project at a later time (that sounds WIERD, joining something that you've already started). So, if anyone picks it up after I'm inactive, maybe you could help. But, until it's documented thouroughly, it's still going to remain a secret.

We seriously need to find out who the artists are and lock them in a small padded room.

Anything I want to do is going to bottleneck at art resources.

If not enough artists are playing Civ 4... we should kidnap them from other boards and lock them into a small padded room.

The biggest problem getting artists may be the cost of the 3D package required to create units.
There is some rumours floating around that it costs something like $3,000 for a 3D suite, versus a $150 for civ III 2D objects.

I have yet to see an artist confirm or repudiate these costs.

It's not a rumor. The only program that can currently make models costs thousands of dollars. Fortunately there are some tools being developed for Blender and other free programs.

This is incorrect. There is NO program currently that can make the models.

Firaxis used 3ds max... but they have not released the tool they used to export to their own custom .nif format.
