I was wondering if it would be at all possible to make it so BUG can keep track of the specialists you're running across your empire? That way you can keep track of how many scientists/merchants/whatever you're running globally instead of just on a per-city basis. Also, would it be at all possible to make BUG issue an alert when you cross a specialist threshold? That would be incredibly useful for finding out when the governor assigns that unwanted Spy specialist.

I assume you know about the third page of the CDA (F1) screen that shows the specialists each city is running, but if not, that's as close as you can get right now.

I definitely see the use for the alert, and it would probably be handy to have a single page showing the total # of specialists empire-wide. I've been meaning to add more pages to the Financial Advisor, renaming it Economic Advisor and showing pages for :science: and :hammers:. Another page showing specialists wouldn't be hard.

If you can sketch up or further explain exactly how you'd use this, it would a) help me and others figure out the best way to implement it and b) increase the odds of it being added. :)

I was just thinking for those of us who like to control our GP production, and say, we're trying to get a Great Merchant for a corporation, we could have an alert come up that says "You're running # Priest specialists"(Throughout the entire empire) so we have an idea of what GP points are being made in cities other then the next GP city.
