A thought came to me while reading about the Wonder ideas...

To make the race to build a Wonder more challenging and/or exciting, perhaps if you were to build one of the famous Seven Wonders of the World, they'd be worth more points?

Like, if you built something like Leonardo's Workshop you would get so much points, but something like the Pyramids or the Taj Mahal would be worth heaps more.

What do you think? A worthy idea? :worship: ;)

Taj Mahal is not one of the seven wonders.

Problem is deciding which were the seven wonders, and very few people will come up with the same list, so let's leave it at great wonders and small wonder shall we?

Yeah, I think the scope HAS moved away from 7 wonders and more towards these general worldwide attractions.

I would love to see the Taj Mahal as a Wonder in cIV!!!

But I also want the Opera House (Sydney)!!!

Others Wonder??? Or great impact's on and over the History????

how about the wrights brother's workshop.. that will place airports in every city

I think the Wright Brothers are a bit too early in history to be relevant to that. Either a "Spirit of St Louis" (seen in a mod) or else a "Boeing/Airbus Works" would be more appropriate.

Its not so much ideas for Wonders as ideas for things for Wonders to do.
There are only so many combinations. I say what wonders do should all be adjustable. It shouldn't just be a flag of "Doubles Research," it should be "Increases Research by ___%" and you punch in a number. It shouldn't just be a flag of +1 naval movement, it should be "Increases naval movement by ____" and you punch in a number. And etc...

I guess a lot of the ideas for stuff for wonders to do would come from actual wonders, however. At risk of being too "civ3-ey", how about wonders that give civ traits or allow unique units? I've always felt that all civs should start the same and become unique by the choices that are made over history. The Romans became Militaristic and Commercial because they decided to, and developed the Legion as a unique unit because they decided to. With AI programming, you could still have the civs tend to go for their classic selves.
