If your life had a theme song, wich would it be?

The entire Born in the U. S. A. album would do nicely. It's a lovely mixture of hope and depression, mixed with optimism and desperation.

Actually, a lot of Springsteen would work; Reason to Believe, Thunder Road, and perhaps Racing in the Street seem particularly apt. College seems to be so much of a mix of endings and beginnings and wondering about the future and whatnot, and Bruce sings about that so well. (Strangely enough, he didn't go to college...)

I was also thinking Johnny Cash's Man in Black; I wear an awful lot of black. It works very well with my personality, although not my online persona as much (yes, they are often significantly different).

Everyday is exactly the same- Nine inch nails

not my favorite song by far, but as of the past few months it seems like the only real difference in my day is the changing newspaper headlines.

Hmmm....My theme song would be everysong I like . For right now though it's A World Without Danger from Code Lyoko(it's the shows theme song). The english version, for what reason? Because Code Lyoko is my favorite show!

You can get it for free from the official web site, though it's in french. www.codelyoko.fr it's maked english version.

Super tuesday
by leftover crack

"two towers fallin down
i'll be at zero ground
we're flyin freindly skies
until the city dies
and you don't wanna see
through human history
empires will always fall
this is my final goal.

i pledge alliegance to no flag
top the bottle with an oily rag
we're building up an army fast
to destroy the pigs and break the upper class.

it's time the truth is told
when yr sick to death of being bought and sold
our freedoms been misplaced
**** that it's been erased"

"Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin. I sing that song so much, people have an image of me singing every time they hear the song. Or maybe "40" or "Sometimes you can't make it on your own" (my myspace song) by u2.

Not to mention his exact descriptions of the life of the working man, altough the only thing he's ever worked with in his life is his guitar.

:)

Eddie Medusa- Dunder och Snus!

Dunder och Snus och lurviga luder!
In med en omgång och botten opp!
repeated

Very funny Swedishguy  , but you know the rules of the forum; There has to be an english translation if you write something in another language...
So let me just wish you good luck with that ;)

Charlie Daniels Band - What This World Needs Is A Few More Rednecks

What this world needs is a few more rednecks
Some people ain’t afraid to take a stand
What this world needs is a little more respect
For the Lord and the law and the workin’ man

We could use a little peace and satisfaction
Some good people up front to take the lead
A little less talk and a little more action
And a few more rednecks is what we need
I was raised on beans and cornbread
And I like my chicken fried
Yes, I drive a pickup truck
And I’m full of American pride
I keep a Bible on my table
I got a flag out on my lawn

And I don’t believe in mindin’
No one’s business but my own
And I love them Rambo movies
I think they make a lot of sense
And it’s a shame ole John Wayne
Didn’t live to run for president

And I don’t care what nobody says
I don’t trust ole Gorbachev
And I don’t know who turned him on
But it’s time to turn him off
What this world needs is a few more rednecks
Some people ain’t afraid to take a stand
What this world needs is a little more respect
For the Lord and the law and the workin’ man
We could use a little peace and satisfaction
Some good people up front to take the lead
A little less talk and a little more action
And a few more rednecks is what we need
Now they’re tryin’ to take my guns away
And that would be just fine
If you take ‘em away from the criminals first
I’ll gladly give ya mine
And I don’t mind payin’ taxes
But it makes my temper itch
When my hard earned money goes
To make some politician rich
What most people call a redneck
Ain’t nothin’ but a workin’ man
And he makes his livin’
By the sweat of his brow
And the calluses on his hands
Now you intellectuals may not like it
But there ain’t nothin’ that you can do
Cause there’s a whole lot more of us common-folks
Then there ever will be of you

What this world needs is a few more rednecks
Some people ain’t afraid to take a stand
What this world needs is a little more respect
For the Lord and the law and the workin’ man
We could use a little peace and satisfaction
Some good people up front to take the lead
A little less talk and a little more action
And a few more rednecks is what we need
That’s what we need
And a few more rednecks is what we need

Tool - Stinkfist

Something has to change.
Un-deniable dilemma.
Boredom's not a burden
Anyone should bear.

Constant over stimu-lation numbs me
and I wouldn't have
It any other way.

It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive.

Finger deep within the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Relax, turn around and take my hand.

I can help you change
Tired moments into pleasure.
Say the word and we'll be
Well upon our way.

Blend and balance
Pain and comfort
Deep within you
Till you will not have me any other way.

It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive.

Knuckle deep inside the borderline.
This may hurt a little but it's something you'll get used to.
Relax. Slip away.

Something kinda sad about
the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything.
What became of subtlety?

How can it mean anything to me
If I really don't feel anything at all?

I'll keep digging till
I feel something.

Elbow deep inside the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Shoulder deep within the borderline.
Relax. Turn around and take my hand.

The Verve said:
Bittersweet Symphony
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
How depressing is that? I'll try to think of a happier one.

What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.

Put down the knitting,
The book and the broom.
Time for a holiday.
Life is Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret.

Come taste the wine,
Come hear the band.
Come blow your horn,
Start celebrating;
Right this way,
Your table's waiting

No use permitting
soem prophet of doom
To wipe every smile away.
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret!

I used to have a girlfriend
known as Elsie
With whom I shared
Four sordid rooms in Chelsea

She wasn't what you'd call
A blushing flower...
As a matter of fact
She rented by the hour.

The day she died the neighbors
came to snicker:
"Well, thats what comes
from to much pills and liquor."

But when I saw her laid out like a Queen
She was the happiest...corpse...
I'd ever seen.

I think of Elsie to this very day.
I'd remember how'd she turn to me and say:
"What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret."

And as for me,
I made up my mind back in Chelsea,
When I go, I'm going like Elsie.

Start by admitting
From cradle to tomb
Isn't that long a stay.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Only a Cabaret, old chum,
And I love a Cabaret!

"Givin' Up Food For Funk" ~ James Brown and The JBs

&

"Pass It On" ~ Bob Marley.

Because....
It's your own conscience
That is gonna remind you
That it's your heart and nobody else's
That is gonna judge.

Be not selfish in your doings:
Pass it on.
Help your brothers in their needs:
Pass it on.

Live for yourself and you will live in vain;
Live for others, you will live again.

"Hit or Miss" ~ Odetta

Because....
Oh can't you see,
I gotta be me.
Ain't nobody, just like this,
I gotta be me,
Baby hit or miss.

Sittin' here
all by myself,
tryin' to be
everybody else.

Oh can't you see
I gotta be me.
Ain't nobody, just like this,
I gotta be me,
Baby hit or miss.

Look at you sittin there
All by yourself
Listenin' to everybody else
Everybody sayin'
Be everybody else

Oh can't you see?
You gotta be you
Ain't nobody, just like you
You gotta be you,
Baby hit or miss.

This song is alot like me.Especially the part where i've boldface on the part when i've was working in landscaping in the summer when i was 16,then i've met some older dude and he gave me a joint and starting rambling about Zen Bhuddism.
Sublime-Smoke Two Joints

I smoke two joints in the morning
I smoke two joint at night
I smoke two joint in the afternoon
It makes me feel all right

I smoke two joints in time of peace
And two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints,
And then I smoke two more

Daddy he once told me,
"Son, you be hard workin' man"
And momma she once told me,
"Son, you do the best you can"
Then one day I meet a man,
He came to me and said,
"Hard work good and hard work fine,
but first take care of head"

Whoa rock me to the night
Ja say
Probably why it is the reason why i don't value working hard for a living and live a carefree life.:D

Raining Blood by Slayer

Trapped in purgatory
A lifeless object, alive
Awaiting reprisal
Death will be their acquisition

The sky is turning red
Return to power draws near
Fall into me, the skys crimson tears
Abolish the rules made of stone

Pierced from below, souls of my treacherous past
Betrayed by many, now ornaments dripping above

Awaiting the hour of reprisal
Your time slips away

Raining blood
From a lacerated sky
Bleeding its horror
Creating my structure
Now I shall reign in blood!

Fade to Black by Metallica

Life it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this cant be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now hes gone

No one but me can save myself, but its too late
Now I cant think, think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm, now I will just say good-bye

Only kidding:) , to be honest, lifes to complicated to have your situation summed up by one song. Raindrops keep falling on my head is close enough though for now: BJ Thomas.

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

[trumpet]

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me
