What to do about it? I can't seem to play more than a few turns before exiting the game.

Alas, I cannot play this weekend. Graduation looms.

So, hrm. My guess would be to read up on some history.

I get in the funk all the time now. C3C is broken and was never fixed so i keep starting games and only end up playing one in 12 or so. I might try playing some vanilla civ3. At least the AI uses armies in that.

Of course... there is always real life to play with.

Real life is over rated! :crazyeye: ;)

Sometimes you just need a break. I'll go for weeks or even months without playing... Then I get the "just one more turn" Syndrome. That's what happened this morning. I was 15 minutes late to work. :p

I should never play in the morning...

Try and pick up some variants, or some mods. When I got bored with Civ a while back, I downloaded RaR and it was like learning a new game. That kept me interested for a bit. When they started to get dull, I tried variants. Always War will make the game more interesting I think.

Now I just play the three in cycles, regular C3C, RaR, and then variants with both. It keeps it new.

Play an AW game at one level below whatever your normal level is and you should have plenty to keep you busy.

Take a break from civ. I had the same problem once, but it helped that I took a break for a few months. Then when I returned to the game, it was much more fun. You might also want to try yourself in the lands of GOTM, the games there are almost always fun.

Heh, problem is I haven't played Civ in months. I need to know how to get back into it.

Then I would strongly recommend GOTM or COTM. Those games are so much more fun than games you create yourself, not to mention the competetive part makes it much more interesting.

Or play something you haven't played before. Different mod, different play style.

I had this happen to me. DyP brought me back into it. Conquests was getting kinda meh, but RnR keeps me interested.
