I like NTFS for the smaller clusters. . . but that's about it, really. I have a lot of empty space sitting out there, wasted, because of FAT32. Of course, I would be more concerned if I had less than 20gig free on my drive.
OK, I just finished reformatting and reinstalling Windows on my PC. I hated it!!!!
I found out that the guy who sold us the computer (like 4 years ago) gave us disks that were supposed to hold drivers for all installed components. We never used them as we never reformatted but now I did. Guess what, the disks didn't have the drivers on them so I had to download them. The only problem being that I didn't have the driver for my modem either.
Anyway, after downloading a few drivers at work that didn't do the job I finally pulled out my old (and I mean old) computer and managed to download a driver that actually worked with my modem.
So now I'm back here again.

Hence the need for partitions! Even if you didn't partition, you should ahve tried to download drivers and update firmwares before hand, then store the drivers somewhere that you can retrieve after the format.
