I'm Overclocking

Actually, I built my entire P.C. like that. Not being a power gamer, I don't need the latest stuff. So I upgraded my old one, piece by piece, when something new came out, I'd buy the one it replaced, as the price just drops :) I did that until I'd replaced the entire thing.

Except the motherboard and chip?

Actually, they were the first things to go
About 2 years ago I was given an unknown board with cpu to try and identify. It'd come from the stock of a liquidated comp' shop (one of those little ones that pop up and disappear again), and the guy wanted to sell it. It turned out to be a low range Epox board, but with a 2.0gig P4 Northwood cpu in it. The chip was as much as the board could take. He let me have it for what he'd paid, £40. Snatched his hand off :D
Iw was a straight swap for my old one, as it took SDRAM. I started the piecemeal upgrading then.
The BIOS went nuts about 3 months later, would'nt re-flash or anything. From their technical forum, Epox seemed to have a lot of problems with screwy BIOS' so I got a nice new board, with RAID and took DDR RAM. Plus, now the chip is at the low end of what the board can take, but I've never got around to upgrading it. Hasent been a need. :)
