Images for the god's constellations

The gods each have a unique constellation in the sky. The game lore only names the constellation - I have asked and no one has supplied any images. I am finishing up a FfH modmod that gives image popups with the random events. There are a number of "signs of the gods" events that have their constellation come into prominence, and images were needed for their constellations. The pics below are what I have come up with, based on the name.

As much as possible I tried to use actual star images, perhaps with a little tweaking. In cases where there are drawn pictures, the pictures only outline the actual stars that are there.

If anyone has a better image, or has an objection because they have talked to Kael (or are Kael) and know the image is different, please let me know. If you just don't like it, then give me a better one.

I will post the actual mod in the mod subforum when done, but right now I just need the input of the FfH experts.

The first set - Aeron through Esus.

Aeron: the Obsidian Scepter.
Agares: the Great Serpent.
Amathaon: the Bow.
Arawn: the Shroud.
Bhall: the Burnt Wings.
Ceridwen: the Black Candle.
Cernunnos: the Great Tree.
Dagda: the Scales.
Danalin: the Silver Tears.
Esus: the Jeweled Mask.

The constellations for Junil through Tali.

Junil: the Shield of Valor.
Kilmorph: the Sleeping Dragon.
Lugus: the Night Sun.
Mammon: the Coin.
Mulcarn: the Bear.
Nantosuelta: the Eye of Heaven.
Oghma: the Open Tome.
Sirona: the Bronze Owl.
Sucellus: the Arms of God.
Tali: the Pegasus.

I really like those. Crop the image so that it doesn't say which god it is with (that would go on the popup), and I would say that they would fit perfectly.

Thanks! The actual images will not have names, it will just be the picture. I only named them in the attachment here to make it easy for people to see which god it was for.

These are nice, but I would say that they might not be in a consistent enough art style.

I'm not an expert though and this is certainly better than not having any images.

I agree with Admtanaka. Try to keep a consistent theme. Tali, for example, looks beautiful, but it doesn't fit at all with Lugus.

You have a point about styles. I'm not an artist, unfortunately. At best I can modify an existing image.
These are all images I located on the net, so I will see if I can possibly find some others.

So when one of these events occurs, your image would be displayed in the background instead of the map? That sounds pretty cool to me.

Here are some alternate images I will probably use for some, so that they as much as possible have the same styles like actual constellations.

I really like the Esus one - it is an actual astronomical picture of colliding galaxies, and the Cernunnos, Bhall, and Mammon ones are real pics as well (with some minimal editing).

Not bad.

I get the impression though that Lugus's Night Sun however should just be a single, exceptionally bright star (or planet, perhaps Venus, or as the Romans called it Lucifer, the lightbearer).

I'd like to see a different Open Tome too.

Here's another Lugus (the Night Sun).

Here's another for Oghma (the Open Tome). Since there are a dearth of constellations of books, I had to make this myself by using an actual pic of random stars and moving them around to form a book. Unless someone has a better image, this is the limit of my art skills and so it's the one I'll go with. (It looks better when you open the thumbnail.)

I know it is the wrong thread, but i dont want to start a new one just for a small question.
Is there a description of the effects of all constellations?
Some are self-explenatory, but others seem to have no effect.
E.g. "storms rage across your lands".
Anyone knows?

The XML and/or Python files have the effects, but they are not in a user friendly format. In the Assets/XML/Events folder I believe CivEventInfos.xml has results, but you'll have to search for the text of the god you want and puzzle out what is the result. Possibly the python file CvRandomEvents has some of the results of some sign events.

So basically, there's no easy way I know to find event results in one convenient place. Some people have started threads or wiki entries but never finished them to my knowledge, unless it's in a design thread somewhere from years ago.
