Hello,

What does exactly iMaxPlayerInstances in CIV4UnitClassInfos.xml means? Max instances of a unit in the whole game for a player or maximum instances of a unit at the same time for a player?

Thanks
Houman

I think it's per player. The best way to check is to see what kind of value it has for limited units, like missionaries or spies

Its for a player is not very exact. Please read my question again. :D It is clear that it is per player, but maximum instances of a unit per game for a player or maximum instances of a unit at THE SAME TIME for a player? Latter means if one unit dies, can I build again until I reach my maximum?

It's maximum number of units for the player or the AI at any given time.

I play a mod where you only can have 7 instances of the industrial and modern units. It makes war in the late game less drawn out. If you limit units throughout the game you get a wierd situation where it's hard to attack, because you only have a few units. It's interesting though. You dont want to upgrade, because that means you have less units.I play with less ground units but unlimited air and sea. This makes for wars with a lot of naval and air action.

Heh, that's what I meant, per player at one time. Thanks for clarifying mice
