Nah, predators just wipe out the easier-to-catch native species. Rabbits have an evolutionary reflex to protect them... native marsupials, not so much.

The mink, seriously, that should be the easiest to deal with. Just shoot them all and turn them into coats and food for the poor.

Coats might work, but eating a mink? I believe they have an odor about as "charming" as that of a skunk...
