I had an interesting idea the other night, so I tried it out. I loaded up the Mesoamerican conquest, imported El Mencey's Central American map, and saved it as another file. I then decided to play it.

The game was rather interesting as the importer decided all forests-regular, pine, and jungle- were the landmark "rain forest"- impassable. Without being able to work/transverse them made the game odd. For one, the Moche, who landed the Maya starting location, couldn't expand at all. They had three cities. The only civ to give me any trouble was the Olmecs, who had expanded over the entire southern half of the US. I expanded like mad, thanks to my neighbors being stuck by "rain forest". I was going for histograph, but I wound up demanding a ton of cities from the AI---and GETTING them(!)-- and then bribing a few more to get domination. :)

The game was interesting, as I got to explore the rules more. There's no FP building in it, and the "Silent Hunters" are pretty neat. Anyone using the importer in a similar way to play with Conquest rules?
