Improving the land (worker allocations)

This thread is for discussion of how workers should be allocated to projects.

To start with, I think building a road on the incense is good but are there other tiles to improve in the area? Improvements should come before this road so Maeve can build a temple faster. The incense road can be done any time before the workers move away from the city but before border expansion.

There is no point in having a road to a resource outside our borders, so we need to time the building of the road to about the time our borders expand. If that gives us time to mine some BG and speed up the temple before we start the road then fantastic, but we want the incense connected as soon as it is in our borders.

I agree. Other improvements that fit before border expansion should be done. I was thinking the Workers would be called away to a different locale.
