Unless you drop the computer, there's no such thing as a "computer crash." There are stop errors, hard drive crashes, system errors, etc etc, but "computer crash" is very vague.

The first "crashes" were actually hard drive platters running into things, which could cripple a computer. Became slang for any failure after awhile. Is this thread a rant, or a question of what can cause a crash?
