I really hope that they make it so that other civs will actually make deals with you. I want to be in a situation where I actually forgo war with someone in the short term b/c they provide me economic benefits...

But the important question is: will the deals be fair or will they try to screw you every chance they get?

yeah ai intelligence hasnt had huge IQs but i agree...if an allie for example didnt still try to hose you during negotiations...it would be nice...

In general I don't mind the AI trying to screw me in negotiations (it bears a large resemblance to real life negotiation I feel), what I do mind is when they won't back down on the issue and decide that it would be okay to trade silks for furs on a 1 for 1 basis instead of me paying a minimum of 26 gold per turn two cities and my left arm to get my valued resource.

thats kinda what i meant be screwing you...they ask for the impossible...and wont bend...now i know that diplomatic relations can be tedious..but even allies tend to be a lil selfish...it would be cool to allow a civ to mooch a resource if for RoP or something like that ..and vice versa. or just be more freindly...like during war..loans with low payback rates or something
