Hi

I read the civ guide and i still don't understand about industrious civs

They get 1 extra shield in the center square but do they get more extra shields on the surrounding tiles after the city reaches a certain size?

What is a metro size city?

a city becomes a metropilis when it reaches either 12 or 13 (im not quite sure which one) but you have to build a hospital in that city for it to become a metropilis. its like a town becoming a city but the next level up a city becoming a metropilis.

No, just your city center when it is above size 6, the requirment for a city.

IIRC, you get one shield when your city becomes a city at size 7, and another when it becomes a metropolis at size 13.

But the faster workers is the bigger benefit.

EDIT: those shields are extra and only appear in the city center tile.
