This is an informal poll relating to the discussion here. According to this informal poll the game version will be most likely Conquests, if done according to the will of the people, so keep that in mind.

Vote for any that you seem interesting in and would pursue. Multiple choice and public poll.

One thing is certain: C3C is a must. I'd also like to see it as a multi-team game, as I think that'd be a really good way to increase the interest, at least for some.

What I'm thinking is that we could have a 2-team game going on seperate from the main game.

Kicking and Screaming for 5CC!
Think of the possibilities, people would care about each city, cities would be very powerful and all ministers would still have the same powers. This type of game forces us to work together, instead of just different departments doing differenet things which is what will happen with an epic game.

I also voted for a 2 team multiplayer duel

Additional ideas: Rise and Rule mod for C3C, Double your Pleasure mod for Vanilla. (RaR, DyP respectively) These are expensive in terms of download time, but there are so many extra possibilities that it would result in great debate opportunities, not to mention these are also well-suited to role play. Imagine debating ritual sacrifice as a mechanism to build our culture score. Imagine debating the tech path when there are some techs with 8-10 pre-reqs. We could have debates on whether we should trade with civs who research slavery at all, though from what I can tell the AI's always research it even though it doesn't seem to have many advantages .

It might be interesting to have a series of shorter demogames based on the conquests, though those might be too short. Or maybe a demogame which has a goal of winning all of the conquests, in turn. In C3C we could enable wonder victory as a special case of cultural. There are plenty of other unusual possibilities, and something different is probably the most important thing we can do.

I personaly want to keep the game as simple as possible, I chose Regular Epic Game for both C3C and Vannila (It does not matter which civ version we use so long as it is the civ series)

simple isnt always better CG, this DG was 'simple' it didnt turn out good

Well then we need to know how to make it better!! You can't improve something if you don't have any suggestions - why did it turn out bad, what caused it to, and how can we fix it. If we don't fix it, we are doomed to repeat it (hint: post in discussion threads, not these ones please).

Well, since DG VI will be my first, I have no preferances. I voted other for this reason. What ever you guys think is good :)

Well, I dont wish to see any variants and additions into eather the Vannilla or C3C games when playing the DG, as I stated in the thread Dave made, thoes are the many things (with the exception of RL) that would drive me away from the DG.

So in a sense, this Demogame simpliciy did turned out good for some people. The reason why I say it is simple is because there were no variants and huge downloads for addons.

CivGeneral, Im just curious as to why you dont want any variants. It could help keep interest up.

The reason I dont like the game variants such as the OCC and the 5CC is that is severly limits the number of possitions for Provincial Governorship. Another reason I dont like it is that it would become more of a handicap when it comes to resources (Such as a coal resource poping in outside out 5CC borders). That would mean city relocation which is not possible if the city grows to a certan size.

Also, I dont like to see any additions in a form of huge downloads. I know I am a faster internet connection. I still have sympathies for the 56k modem users that are still out there. If we do go along with an addon, the 56ker would eather be forced to download a realy big file that would take a significant portion of time or the 56k user would not bother with the download and dont partisipate and thus alienate him/her.

5CC would actually be better for governors. Why? Right now we can barely get enough people to fill in all the positions (1 contested election!). If we only had 5 Governors, it would be less demanding work, opening it up to more people.

I disagree, it is the depopulation that kills the interest in the Governorships, and the limited scope of what a governor can do. We should add workers quotas and some other political rights to the Governors, let them run the province in more detail and bundle provincial resources to trade deals. This means, each province could be a small kingdom.
5CC would severely limit combined arms and more advanced strategies, and make this a tile management and slider feast.

Those are good points General. Decisions, decisions...

I voted for a normal C3C Epic game, or a two-team C3C game.

At first I wanted to keep the demogame normal, but now I think I will prefer to have two teams, just for the sake of having something new.
