Hello everyone,im new to this forum.
i love civ, however i always thought that it was kinda weird how no matter how advanced you got you always had circles of railroads everywhere... i could understand perhaps as a noational wonder/project completeing a trans continental railroad/or road system. and it would create a new tile improvement. among a few other things. pleaseread. thanks!
1. national project. trans continetal railroad. appears on your map as a large rail system between two major cities( like a connecting tile improvement ). have a railstation building that you can build in a town. then it will connect itslef to the major rail lines.
---- before the modern era, it was very difficult to get food/supplies to newly founded settlements..etc... in america there aresome midwest towns that are exactly 7 miles apartandthey span the entire rail system. because the train had to be fules every 7 miles.
2. the ability to store grain and redisperse to other cities
that way my major cities like NYC...or LA...or ...Paris...etc.. wont have to have farms. they dont now. i would like to use my cities that have great land asfarming nodes, while being ableto grow my production cities up without having to worry about starvation..etc.. among other things... have bigger cities, more town. i think it would balance itselffor themost part.
( i supose that there are farmsin the suburbs of those cities, and that what the tiel working is suposed to represent. perhaps youcould distingwish between a small farming town and a city. astwo seperate entities )
3. major highway system. as national project. i supose the same asa major railroad. but a major highway is key in a nations development. also, it would make a good target for tactical missles...etc... if you are familiar with the idea for the north american union? it would be cool if you could make a treaty with your neighbors to build a super highways that connects your nations for trade purposes...etc...
4. large bridges to span between not ocean tiled islands. i kinda dont like always having to use transports to get to mysmall islands that seem to be close to my main continent.
--or if you have ever been to hampton virginia, they have the large bridges to make it so you dont have to drive all the way around the port inlet.
im not familiar with the game mechanics that much. i am aware that i have given you ideas with few solutions. i apologize.
